Wow. I LOVE this. Seriously, this may be one of the best things I’ve seen floating around on Tumblr. It sums it up so perfectly: It’s not about not being able to have certain foods, it’s about choosing better options instead! Instead of setting restrictions, I just want to know when I look at them that they may look and taste good, but they aren’t worth the bad feelings (both mental and physical) that take place afterward.
I disagree. I think it is okay to enjoy junk foods in moderation. I don’t think food should have such power over ones feelings. It doesn’t make you weak or a bad person because you want a certain food. In my opinion, that creates an unhealthy relationship with food. Which is detrimental to your mental health. Now, there is nothing wrong with eating clean 100% of the time if you so choose. I’m just saying, if you want to enjoy something once in awhile.. go for it. You can still maintain your weight and be healthy even if you eat a cupcake every now and then. :)
